About Haikonic
Haikonic is a media and storytelling company built on a simple belief: nothing shapes you as much as your own story. That belief drives everything we do, starting with Haikonic Books, our publishing imprint.
We exist because the traditional path to publishing was never built for most people—it was built for gatekeepers to decide whose stories were worth telling, and for publishers to keep the largest share of whatever sold.
We do it differently. No rejection letters, no gatekeeping. The author owns their story, while we provide the craft, the brand, and the labour to bring it into the world. Whether you’ve already written your manuscript or you’re still carrying the story around in your head, we meet you where you are.
Process
Our editorial and production team refines, designs, and typesets your work into a finished, professional book. If you have the story but not yet the words, our ghost-writing process—built on real conversation, not a questionnaire—turns what you know into a manuscript that sounds like you.
We’re craftspeople, not a content factory. We use AI the way researchers use a good search engine: to flag what’s thin, repetitive, or needs another pass—never to write a single sentence of someone’s life for them.
Anyone can prompt an AI to generate a memoir today, and it will read the same flattened way whether it was written for someone in London or Lagos. A person’s voice is inseparable from where they’re from, what they’ve lived through, and how they actually talk. That’s the thing AI erases, and it’s the thing we exist to protect.
And when your book is ready to sell, the terms are honest: publish under the Haikonic Books imprint at no cost to you, and keep 88% of what it earns—a structure most commercial publishers simply don’t offer. This is publishing built around the person whose name is on the cover.

Our Brand Manifesto
We shall revisit it as often as necessary, adding to it or subtracting from it when and where doing so is reasonably informed by a higher insight.
